Hello. I've recently begun playing Guild Wars again after about a year of not really being interested. As such, I don't own any of the expansions, only the original.

I've read around, and I know that you can own any of the Guild Wars titles by themselves, and I was thinking about purchasing an expansion to go along with my Prophecies account.

Heres my question. Right now I'm only interested in Nightfall so I can use heroes when my friends are offline. However, I really want to make a W/A. I know that you can't use Dervish and Paragon unless you purchase Nightfall. A friend told me, however, that if I were to buy Nightfall I could make an Assassin or Ritualist using the Nightfall's skills for them. I am unsure if he is correct, however.

So basically: Can I buy Nightfall and use Assassins and Ritualists with it? Or all classes but the two?

Ritualist and Assassin professions and skills are only available for Factions campaign. Your ritualist hero in nightfall can only access nightfall skills. If you want to use the professions to their potential youll get all 3 games. Prophesies, Factions and Nightfall. The game just isnt the same without all 3. They may be seperate into themselves but youll miss out on alot if you dont have them.

So, correct me if I'm wrong:

Factions alone: access to Assassin, Ritualist, and Factions campaign. No heroes, Dervish, Paragon, or Nightfall campaign.

Nightfall alone: Access to Dervish, Paragon, and Nightfall campaign. Also access to heroes, which can be any class. No access to Assassin or Ritualist at all(besides heroes), nor the Factions campaign.

Factions + Nightfall: Access to Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, and Paragon. Access to both campaigns, as well as heroes.

Underline being the focus of my interest, because I want to be able to roll all classes and I dunno if I have to get one or both expansions for that.

You are correct, have yourself a cookie.

If you need to play all of the classes from all chapters, you'll need both Factions and Nightfall.
